Rehabilitation Services:

The Rehabilitation Medicine Department at St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital provides services to patients/clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.  These may affect the person physically, cognitively, functionally or communicatively.

Licensed/registered Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists use goal directed activities to prevent, assist in the recovery, and promote independence in their patient/client daily activities.

Patients are treated in the hospital setting, in the new Acute Rehabilitation Medicine Unit or as an outpatient.
