ST. JOSEPH’S WAYNE HOSPITAL FOUNDATION WELCOMES

NEW BOARD LEADER AND MEMBERS

             The St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that David L. Hughes will serve as Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.  Mr. Hughes, an attorney, is Executive Vice President of AAA North Jersey. Wayne Mayor Scott T. Rumana  and Steve Coppa of Comerro Coppa CP have also joined the Foundation Board.

            “We are honored to welcome Mr. Hughes, Mayor Rumana and Mr. Coppa  to our Foundation Board and look forward to benefiting from their vision and leadership,” commented Paula Nevoso, Vice President for the St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital Foundation. “Mr. Hughes has been an outstanding leader in the Wayne business community for almost twenty years and has been a Foundation trustee for ten years. His experience as an attorney, coupled with his keen awareness of both the corporate and healthcare environment, will be invaluable as we launch aggressive fundraising initiatives to benefit patient care at our hospital,” Ms. Nevoso added.

            Mr. Hughes has served as Executive Vice President of AAA of North Jersey since 1989 and also is Secretary of the Board of Directors of AAA of North Jersey. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Conference of AAA Motor Clubs and is a licensed Health, Property and Casualty Insurance Produce for the State of New Jersey. His civic responsibilities include membership Chairman of the Columbians Club, the Italian American Philanthropic Organization, Chairman of the Affiliates and Associates Committee of the Bergen County Police Chiefs Association, a member of the Passaic County Police Chiefs Association and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Hawthorne Boys and Girls Club.  A graduate of Wittenburg University, Mr. Hughes received his J.D. degree from Capital University Law School. He lives in Hawthorne and is a member of the North Jersey Country Club.

            “I am honored to serve as Chairman of the St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital Foundation Board,” Mr. Hughes said. “With the guidance provided by Paula Nevoso, Vice President for the Foundation and in partnership with my colleagues on the Board, we will develop innovative strategies to increase revenue,” Mr. Hughes added.
