ASHOK R. SHAHA, M.D. WILL DELIVER 15TH ANNUAL

VINCENT FELICIANO, M.D. MEMORIAL LECTURE

AT ST. JOSEPH’S WAYNE HOSPITAL

 

            Ashok R. Shaha, M.D., Attending Surgeon in the Head and Neck Service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, will deliver the Fifteenth Annual Vincent Feliciano, M.D. Memorial Lecture on Saturday, March 10th at 9 AM in the Meyer Conference Center at St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital. Dr. Shaha, who is also Professor of Surgery at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, will speak on  “Thyroid Cancer: 2007 and Beyond.”

 

            In his talk, Dr. Shaha will review current diagnostic approaches, discuss operative management of thyroid cancer and describe the value of adjuvant therapies.

 

            Dr. Shaha, who has been named one of “America’s Top Doctors,”  “Best Doctors in the New York Region” and  “Best Doctors in America” also received the Distinguished Service Award from the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.  He is a member of more than 40 surgical societies, including the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American Surgical Association. He has served as President of the Society of Head and Neck Surgeons, the New York Cancer Society and the New York Surgical Society. He has published and presented more than 100 papers on thyroid and head and neck cancer throughout the United States and abroad.
