Frequently Asked Questions
-
1. Q. I have been a
patient here before. Why do I need to bring my insurance information each
time I come?
-
A.
Over a period of time, insurance companies will update group numbers and
addresses or you may even change insurance carriers. We want to make
sure the pressure is taken off of the patient by obtaining correct
billing information.
-
2. Q. If I have been
here before, why do you need to ask me my address and other information
that I gave on the last visit?
-
A.
Sometimes there may be a long span between hospital visits. During that
time the patient might have relocated, changed employers, changed a
phone number or even the emergency contact. We want to have all of the
correct information for billing and any placement after the hospital
stay.

3. Q. If I am coming
in for testing, can I call ahead and be pre-registered over the phone?
A.
Yes you can. Call our Patient Access department. You must know the
date you are coming in, your diagnosis and your physician’s name. The
Registrar will take all of the information and remind you to bring your
prescription and insurance card with you so that a copy of both may be
obtained the day of your testing. On the day of your test, you will be
directed to the correct area without having to sit and register.
-
4. Q. What if I don't
have insurance? Can I still have my testing there?
-
-
A. Yes. If you have no insurance
we will send you to one of our financial counselors who will guide you in
applying for assistance or making financial arrangements.
